About the author
I was four years old when I awoke from a coma and couldn’t understand why I was being punished and sent back here.I closed my eyes hoping to go back to a world so rich is love and support but it was gone.
A young teenager when I first read “Be here now” it re kindled my connection to the beyond and inspired hope that there was a way in, a way back to the realm of bliss and love that the four-year-old child in me had yearned.
So much of our pain, of our disconnect is born out of attachment to stories that are centered around the ego-self.
“Reality is an illusion, albeit a persistent one” Albert EinsteinSeek light, seek love and create a reality that invites spontaneous happiness as you choose to honor the infinite being that is you.
A B. A in Eng. Lit. and an M.A. in psychology, there is but one truth I share with you . . . Love is the answer, the way in and in the end, it is for ourselves that we journey.
Gentle Awakenings Prospectus
Gentle Awakenings explores the sinuous, often elusive path to self-discovery and self-love with succinct, heartfelt insights to some of life’s most difficult questions.
While its question and answer format is far from unique, Gentle Awakening distinguishes itself from other books in the self-help genre by pairing thoughtfully selected photos and appropriate quotations from some of our greatest (and most colorful) thinkers with heartfelt, ‘nutrient-dense’ counsel
distilled from the author’s decades of life experience.
Topics covered range from developing self-esteem and overcoming powerful fears to discovering one’s life purpose and adjusting to some of the challenges of modern life.
THREE KEY SELLING POINTS:
1. For those short on time (or low on attention span!), Gentle Awakenings offers a brief, yet thorough, examination of numerous challenges or obstacles gleaned from actual questions asked by real people.
2. Paired images and quotes help readers to see new possibilities for their lives through different eyes.
3. Gentle Awakenings encourages the reader to reframe so that growth opportunities can be maximized and self can evolve without ego sabotaging the soul’s journey. Its subtle combination of mindfulness and visual imagery serves to help the reader focus in on the here and now.
While Gentle Awakenings is a wonderful coffee table book, it also benefits those seeking a workbook scenario where their own thoughts and feelings might be explored to offer a more colorful palate for the imagination to expand beyond existing self imposed boundaries of the mind and spirit.
