Today is my Dad’s Birthday! He is a New Years Day Baby! He and my Mom have been married for over 50 years now! He came to the United States on a scholarship to Southern University in Baton Rouge. He became an inventor. He began with only $20 dollars in his pocket (if that) when he started his amazing journey of building his dream for his family!
Today, he is living his dream. He educated 5 kids of his own! Four of his kids still living are helping thousands of people now! (My brother Omar Subtain passed away and so we often help in his honor as well!)
My parents are just like you and me. Full of so many feelings, dreams, and free will.
Today looking back I understand they were sitting on a winning lottery ticket (so to speak). Within them all of these possibilities! In 20 years, 30 years, 40 years, etc, they cashed in because everyday they had something no one else had and they used it!
Like them you have a winning lottery ticket (so to speak) inside you! Everyone does. Everyone has a special way to create for themselves! You have a combination inside you that creates even bigger than you can imagine!
Now 50 years later, here we are! We all benefit from my parents realizing themselves. (For example, the thousands of people being helped are people that can help you or people you do not need to help.)
For my parents and anyone who does something transforming humanity it (usually) wasn’t easy. It wasn’t glamorous. It was one breath, one decision and a vision.
You realizing yourself is something that benefits us all! Just like my Dad realizing his vision! And his vision will continue to expand. Continue to invent an easier life for everyone!
Happy Birthday Dad! I know I’ll read this to you when we talk again next! I am so grateful to be your daughter and that you are alive to see the work, me, and so much you have invested in!
Sadiq Khan, Dr. Sarah Larsen, Farida Khan celebrate service, education, and Free Will!
Thank you Dad for being such a strong Man! For choosing to educate your wife, daughters as well as your sons! Our world is infinitely better with your willingness to create a brighter future for everyone. You are kind, wise, and so smart! Mom, thank you for taking the time to teach me about what is truly valuable, being a strong woman to take care of everyone I can!
When people would say to me with amazement in their eyes and ask, “Where did you come from?” I would often answer, “I am a product of my parents!” I am so proud to be your daughter and to have learned so much from you! Everything I do Mom and Dad is for God, my family and to serve humanity as you taught me to do! Thank you!
