Imagine and Rehearse Success
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life’s coming attractions.” ~Albert Einstein
In moments of challenge, step back and imagine yourself successfully overcoming the obstacle you face.
Picture yourself having already succeeded.
Imagine the pats on the back and the handshakes.
Really let yourself feel how it will feel when you succeed.
Rehearse it over and over in your mind. This should give you a surge of confidence and direct your focus on achievement, rather than fear.
Words on Fear
Moment by moment, it helps to remember that you are the source of fear, not your circumstances.
Sure, fear presents itself to you because of something happening around us, but the feeling of fear arises within you. Remember, if you created it, you can take it away.

Page three: What is the cost of inaction?
Refuse to allow fear and inaction to rob you of your destiny!
- Understand that inaction has a cost. One of the greatest lies you can ever believe is that you have plenty of time. What you continue to put off will rob you of the possibilities of what your life can become. The excuses you make today engineer the disappointments of your tomorrow. You cannot afford to be nonchalant and passive about your future. Everything you achieve in life will be the result of aggressive action and intention. The cost of inaction is greater than you realize. The future does not belong to the dreamer. I’ve discovered that the future belongs to the doer.
- Inaction is a misuse of the seed of greatness. Within you and every human being on this planet lies the seed of greatness. You have the potential to be great. However, not everyone is willing to pay the price to be great.
Your Seeds without action will produce great sorrow.
You can have all the potential in the world but if you never cultivate the seed you will not prosper. When you refuse to take action on your dreams, you are ultimately misusing the seed of greatness on the inside of you. What you fail to discern will ultimately create dissatisfaction and discontent in your life.
It is your responsibility to cultivate the seed of greatness on the inside of you. What you fail to cultivate you will never complete. Action and diligence will empower you to arrive at the place called destiny. You owe it to yourself to cultivate the seed of greatness within you. Cultivation will unleash unlimited capacity for greatness in your life. - Inaction will cost you opportunity. If you will have the courage to say yes, you will be amazed at how the pieces will come together for you. Every challenge in your life is a catalyst to opportunity.
- Inaction will mark your life. I think it is safe to say that you now understand that inaction is very costly. However, I am not sure that many people know how expensive inaction is. Inaction will mark your life with pain, disappointment, and regret. The excuses you make today will enslave you tomorrow. You cannot erase the mark that inaction leaves on your life. Therefore, you must discern, value and maximize every moment of your life. Respond to opportunities when they show up so that the end of your life is not filled with resentment.
1. Fears help you decide what’s real.
I’ve had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened.
– -Mark Twain
We are more often frightened than hurt, and we suffer more from imagination than from reality. — Seneca
2. Help you create appropriate responses.
Our inward power, when it obeys nature, reacts to events by accommodating itself to what it faces — to what is possible. It needs no specific material. It pursues its own aims as circumstances allow; it turns obstacles into fuel. As a fire overwhelms what would have quenched a lamp. What’s thrown on top of the conflagration is absorbed, consumed by it — and makes it burn still higher.”
— Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
What this great Cesar of Rome is telling us, is to observe how fire turns anything we throw at him into the source of his growth.
Whenever life puts something in your path, no matter how hard or unpleasant, it’s an opportunity to take it as fuel for our own growth.
3. You develop courage.
Bran thought about it. “Can a man still be brave if he’s afraid?” “That is the only time a man can be brave,” his father told him.” — George R.R. Martin, series author, A Song of Ice and Fire, on which HBO’s GOT series is based.
4. Develop your wisdom.
There is wisdom that comes from the experience of working through fears. Some of your fears may have even come true. If you are a business owner and have seen your business falter or fail, perhaps you’ve already lived through adversity. The silver lining of these experiences is that you learn from them. Wisdom comes from all of life’s experiences, but the fearful or bad ones, in particular, teach us great lessons. Wisdom is always the by-product of facing your fears, and that’s an important quality to develop.
5. Develop your compassion.
Dealing with fears helps you develop compassion. When you yourself have been afraid, you’re more likely to have patience and feel compassion toward others experiencing similar situations. After all, we all want a good life. When you push hard for what you want and experience the joys and failures of success, you learn compassion you can use to help others push through their early fears.
You can put yourself in the shoes of someone who is just starting out, and that empathy can help guide that person to have deeper courage.
6. Addressing your Fears helps you develop resilience, courage and calm wisdom!
“Life doesn’t get easier or more forgiving; we get stronger and more resilient.” — Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free
Resilience comes from facing your fears. You become better than your surroundings and transform yourself above the fear and into bigger and bigger success. Resilience starts with you, and it begins in your mind. Face your fears and learn to rise to face whatever is in front of you.
