In high school, my best friend, Patrick Ragland, and I would make peanut butter sandwiches to hand out before school.
Soon a small group of us formed “Y-E-S!” Youth Eliminating Starvation!
And along with sandwiches in a paper sack we put other goodies like an apple, little debbie brownie, and a soda.
We would pass them out in the French Quarter as we caught the bus for school.
I lived and worked in the French Quarter, New Orleans growing up!
The streets there are filled with music, people of all socio-economic class, and personalities!
We the locals love, cherish and welcome each character or personailty.
New Orleans is filled with unique individual as well as many that may seem like lost souls.
Many lost souls wound up on street benches and sleep right on the street.
Y-E-S – was small and we were determined to have everyone feed!
I am so grateful that I always had an extra lunch to share.
“You cannot out give GOD!”
It is what that man needed to hear. I am sure that sentence helped him remember who he was. He got himself off of the streets and into home stability very quickly after that.
I didn’t think those words – then say them -those words came through me -beyond me – purposeful so this homeless man knew -we are the same all the same in God’s eyes.
As a scientist and as a person with multiple near death experiences, I share this story with you now because I want you to know what is possible for you. Whether it is planned or spontaneous cooperation you are just one breath or word away from your more expansive vibration.
Living by the principles of “It is the most I can do” and “You cannot out give God” I gratefully receive from those determined, insisting, and joyfully giving to make this work and thus our world filled with Love, Faith, and Joy.
