Dr. Sarah Larsen and Miracle Makers  is looking for a spirited Social & Digital Media Intern to join us for the summer!

You will play a very active role in the development of our online presence, help create and publish relevant content to our various sites, learn how to reach target audiences, use various platforms/tools that help assess the performance of the content.

Your success as the Social & Digital Media Intern directly correlates to the ownership you take during the internship. You will NOT be running errands and getting coffee. You WILL however have direct hands-on experience managing the day-to-day operations of our social media accounts – giving you the opportunity to learn!

Candidates must commit to 10-15 hours a week, requiring 1 weekly in-person meeting in our Downtown LA office. The rest of the time, you can either work remotely or in our office.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage, update and prepare high-quality content through all social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.)

• Promote brand awareness through social media engagement across several channels Develop social media campaigns to showcase our services, events and community relations involvement

• Monitor social media analytics on a weekly basis (e.g. page views, followers), and provide reports of growth and other activities

• Develop a strategy to increase the number of followers on social media

• Research trends and technology within the social media realm and presents ways to apply them to our existing promotional efforts.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma

• One year of experience in social media marketing, communications or public relations OR currently enrolled in an accredited college, university or trade school (Business Administration, Marketing and/or Communications) OR proven social media acumen through personal portfolio or school projects.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high-quality work product and meeting deadlines and exceeding goals

• Ability to think strategically and see how social media adds value to our brand

• Excellent written and verbal communications skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Must be able to use your own computer and phone (We will reimburse you for your business related expenses.)

• Proficiency with Google Apps and other cloud-based applications (eg. gmail, google docs, etc.)

• Desire to work in a startup environment

Requirements:

– Must be able to contribute 10-16 hours a week.

– Ideal for an undergraduate student looking for intern credit, or just experience. – Experience in production (camera work, lighting, etc.) highly desirable.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Strong interest/knowledge of marketing for start-ups, professional services or consulting firms

• Proficiency in Photoshop and other Adobe applications (Acrobat Pro, Dreamweaver, AI, etc)

• Experience in short-clip video shooting and editing experience
