The virus wasn’t picking up just one or two mutations at a time. But rather, it acquired a whole cluster of more than 20 mutations. College kids on spring break in Miami. Your retired parents insisting they can still go out to lunch. Millennials throwing quarantine parties. Despite the scary Covid-19 projections, shelter-in-place orders, and all the talk of flattening the curve, some people still aren’t getting how serious the novel coronavirus is — and that they play an important part in keeping themselves and the rest of their community safe.

Here are five facts to send to your most stubborn or science-averse friend or family member to get them to finally — finally — listen.

  1. People are contagious very early on in the infection, potentially even before they’re symptomatic. A study conducted by researchers in Germany found that nine people infected with the novel coronavirus were shedding huge amounts of the virus — thousands to millions of copies — as early as Day One of their infection, when they had only mild, cold-like symptoms. In fact, virus levels in the nose and throat were highest on that first day and declined in the days after. This suggests that infected people are shedding the virus even before they are symptomatic.
  2. It can take up to 11 days for symptoms to appear after infection. Research has shown that the median incubation period is five days. That means some people will develop symptoms sooner and some will develop them later. The study also reported that only 2.5% of people showed symptoms two days after exposure, and 97.5% of people were symptomatic after 11 days. This means that if you’ve come into contact with someone who has the virus, you need to quarantine for the full 14 days to be safe. This timeframe is especially important because you can be highly contagious during this time and not even know it (see point above).
  3. The virus lives on surfaces for up to three days. In an experiment, scientists created an aerosol that contained the novel coronavirus to mimic how it would be spread by a sneeze, a cough, or an exhale. Then, they sprayed that aerosol onto different surfaces to see how long the virus could survive. On copper, the virus was detectable for up to four hours, on cardboard for up to 24 hours, and on plastics and stainless steel for two to three days. This means that objects can remain contaminated for a much longer time, and people can become infected with the virus if they touch the object and then touch their face. You can also get infected if you inhale a sick person’s sneeze, cough, or exhale.
  4. The rate of the infection is growing exponentially. The WHO estimates the infection rate for the novel coronavirus is between 2 and 2.5, meaning that every person who gets sick will infect another two or three people. At that pace, the number of people with the virus will double every six days. This rate has led epidemiologists to predict that 40% to 70% of the population could contract the virus if extreme social distancing measures aren’t taken.
  5. It’s not just old people who are getting seriously sick. A lot of young people have blown off the risk of Covid-19 because most of the deaths have been reported in people over the age of 60. However, a new report by the CDC found that in the U.S., 38% of people who were hospitalized for Covid-19 were between the ages of 20 and 54, and 12% of ICU beds were taken up by people aged 20 to 44 years. Even if the virus doesn’t kill you as a young person, it can still make you very sick.

This information doesn’t mean you should panic, but you do need to take the pandemic seriously. Everyone has a responsibility — not only to protect themselves, but to protect their friends, family, neighbors, and community. You don’t want to be a vector for the virus, and the best way to curb the outbreak is to strictly practice social distancing.

What is Spiritual Immunity and how can it help me?


A new way of life is upon us filled with numerous opportunities to deepen your relationship with your body, mind, and Spirit.

Does it matter What do you call Spirit?

If you have a personal relationship with what you consider the Creator Spirit of Nature, that is all that matters! You may call that spirit the Universe, God, The Elementals. I call it LOVE! My parents call it Allah and My husband’s family Jesus.

My spirit first felt it when reading the story of Moses- I AM THAT I AM.
I read: The name YHVH or YHWH  written with four consonants only;  I said “Adonai”, which means “My Lord.”
The name occurs about seven thousand times in the Bible I learned in my “as I was getting my degree. “I am that I am”!


It was physical LOVE making, then emotional and mental preparedness that let your Piece of the I am that I am -Great Spirit – infuse you into a physical form!

You may know that LOVE created you – that mysterious LOVE – has a very special way for you to BE in the world! Like a flower, you have a special code in you to blossom! Like everything in nature, you have a very special purpose!

Your palms and every cell of your body has within it the code and instructions for you! To increase your ability to fulfill the special plan I am that I am -LOVE- has just for you! 

You have a better opportunity to fulfill that plan if you are in integrity, spiritually and physically fit. 

Miracle is a name for the perspective that there is only one, unique existence, expressing itself infinitely as a gift of love.

The potential to realize this truth lies within every human heart. You are a Miracle.

The awakening of this potential is the aim of the education at Miracle Makers Academy.

Matching Worlds

The Zohar tells that there is a lower world—our world—and there is a higher world.

Our world must continuously receive from that higher world. But how it receives depends upon our state of mind.

But if we wallow in depression and anxiety, then we can receive only the metered trickle that squeezes through such a constricted channel.

Depression, anxiety and pessimism—these all damage the channels of blessing from Above.

That is why King David said, “Serve G?d with joy!” Because your joy here draws upon you another joy from above.

Physically, you know that your body has specific vitality and nutritional requirements in order to function properly.  When you stand on the scale and observe the weight that it records, your response maybe, “I surely have more than fulfilled those requirements in the past, and now it is time for me to consider a reducing diet—a new plan for my nutritional intake!” 

An intentional spiritual “dietary” plan is as essential to your spiritual growth as a deliberate dietary plan is fundamental to your physical well-being.  You are energy!

Live in unity

In today’s meditation, we will talk about unity, as the basic truth of all that exists.

As individuals, we are not alike.  We have different lifestyles, beliefs and perceptions.

However, these differences exist only in the physical plane.

Whereas at the molecular and spiritual level, we are all one and are connected with the universal primary source.

When we begin to fully understand this concept of life in unity, the idea of a personal “I” gives way to the image of a universal “I”.
The concept of rivalry and competition disappears. 
This relationship contributes to deep love and empathy for everyone who surrounds us.

My own personal remedy kit includes a hefty supply of elderberry syrup which I make from dried berries.  You can buy it as well.  For those who are scientifically-minded there are numerous peer-reviewed, double blind studies showing that elderberry syrup has pronounced anti-viral activities.

No, elderberry syrup does not prevent one from getting the flu or a cold. But it does knock the symptoms in half, and it reduces the recovery time by half which means it gives you much better odds: 50% x 50% = 25%

With only a quarter of the ‘experience’ a patient has a much better chance for survival, I figure.  I have no idea if it works on this coronavirus, but elderberry syrup has prevented me from getting a full-blown flu or any serious cold for more than a decade.  I swear by it.

Beyond that, your best chance of avoiding catching something involves staying away from people, washing your hands fastidiously, wearing a mask when you have to be around others, properly shaming those idiots who proudly show up to events/work sick and coughing, not touching public surfaces (railings, knobs, etc), and never, ever wiping your eyes or touching your nose or mouth before washing your hands.

Elderberry Syrup Recipe

Ingredients-

  • 10 oz dried elderberries
  • 3 oz ginger root
  • 2 oz osha root (lung tonic)*
  • 2.8 oz Oregon grape root (dried)
  • 2 c raw local honey
  • 10 c water
  • ¾ c brandy or rum

*some may leave out the osha because kids may hate the taste.

Cooking –

Combine all herbs and water in stainless steel pot, and simmer 45 minutes. Stir frequently.

Let cool

Strain mixture through cheesecloth or clean cotton cloth into another stainless steel pot-squeeze out as much liquid as possible from the herb mix

Add honey and brandy to the strained liquid and warm over low heat, stirring frequently

Pour syrup into glass jars and label

Note- the alcohol is added as a preservative so the syrup does not need to be refrigerated, but it should be stored in a cool, dark place

Dosing –

Take 1 Tbsp up to 3 x daily during illness. I also take a dose as soon as I begin to feel just the hint of an illness and it usually stops it completely.

Creating abundance

Over the past six days we have discovered the reality and source of abundance which is unlimited and eternal we’ve learned that mind matter.

Now that you’re wired for success, here is another powerful meditation and task! 

*Task* 
Create a list of people that make you feel uncomfortable. 

This may include people from the list of the first day, i.e. those who have pushed you to grow and have brought something meaningful to your life.

Here we are talking about the energy of discomfort.
It can be your relatives or people who are now far from you.

Your litmus test here is a feeling of discomfort, “I feel unpleasant.”

Including if it is not a constant feeling of communicating with this person.

For example, it can be neighbors, employees, bosses, family members, members of the government.

Remember that these people may trigger you, and at the same time, may also be your teachers or mentors.
