Dr. Sarah Larsen’s Favorite Beet Salad

The highest quality,
organic farm fresh recommended

What you’ll need:

Ingredients and portions needed for 8 servings::

1 large onion, sliced into quarter rings,
2 leeks sliced
1 each red, orange, green peppers sliced

8 medium-sized beets, peeled and chunked

1 bulb fennel, chunked,

1 cup cilantro greens finely chopped

1 tablespoon water

¼ teaspoon pepper

2 teaspoons fresh finely chopped garlic

2 teaspoons fresh chopped ginger

1 tablespoon grapeseed oil

½ cup of Apple Cider Vinegar.

½ cup more of Apple Cider Vinegar.

6 cups any mix of greens

6 more cups any mix of greens

1 more cup of cilantro greens finely chopped

1 red onion, sliced into half rings

1 tablespoon of olive oil

fresh lemon juice

Prepare, wash, and preheat oven (375* F or 200 * C):

Chop as directed

onion,
leeks,

pepper,

beets,

1 cup cilantro greens

and
fennel

Put them all in a large

oven safe dish then mix them together with the
pepper,
garlic,
ginger,

½ cup of Apple Cider Vinegar,
and
grapeseed oil.

Layer this vegetable mix into

1 tablespoon water lined baking pan.

Cover mixture with 6 cups any mix of greens

Put in the preheated oven to 375°F / 190-200°C.

Pour the other apple cider vinegar over all.

(Greens make a lid/cover)

Bake this until the beets are softened,

about 45 to 50 minutes.

Remove from the oven and let it cool.

Completely cool!
Then place it in a glass container with a lid to refrigerate until serving.

While that dish is baking prepare
the bed of uncooked greens, cilantro, and onion

toss together 6 remaining cups
any mix of greens

1 cup cilantro greens finely chopped,

and the red onion.

When serving –

You van mix both cool salads together and then drizzle olive and leon dressing on top
or you can

Line each plate with this uncooked fresh greens,cilantro and onion mixture!

Then, spoon the cooled roasted beet mix

on each plate.

Drizzle a bit of olive oil

and fresh lemon juice on your plate.

Nutrition in this Salad:

Kale, finely chopped, and other greens can be served cooked and raw! Beet greens, chard (including red Swiss and rainbow chard), collard greens, dandelion greens, mustard greens, turnip greens, and spinach are all considered to be cooking greens.

In the uncooked greens portion of this salad,
I include Microgreens, romaine lettuce with the arugula, and mint. I may add avocados when in season!

Microgreens are considered baby plants, falling somewhere between a sprout and baby green.

That said, they shouldn’t be confused with sprouts, which do not have leaves.

Onions, Garlic, and Leeks
These pungent and flavorful vegetables are all members of the allium family, which are rich in a type of antioxidant called quercetin. Researchers are investigating quercetin’s potential ability to relieve inflammation in most diseases.

Alliums also contain a compound called diallyl disulphine, which may reduce the enzymes that damage cartilage.

Beets

Packed with essential nutrients, beetroots are a great source of fiber, folate (vitamin B9), manganese, potassium, iron, and vitamin C. Beetroots and beetroot juice have been associated with numerous health benefits, including improved blood flow, lower blood pressure, and increased exercise performance.

There are numerous ideas about the origin of the phrase. One story says spirits wreak havoc on your wishes and make the opposite happen. Another comes from ancient Greece, where the audience didn’t clap but instead stomped their feet to show appreciation. If the audience stomped long enough, they would break a leg. Some say the term originated during Elizabethan times when, instead of applause, the audience would bang their chairs on the ground — and if they liked it enough, the leg of the chair would break.

The most common theory refers to an actor breaking the “leg line” of the stage. In the early days of theater, this is where ensemble actors were queued to perform. If actors were not performing, they had to stay behind the “leg line,” which also meant they wouldn’t get paid.

If you were to tell the actor to “break a leg,” you were wishing them the opportunity to perform and get paid. The sentiment remains the same today; the term means “good luck, give a good performance.”

No matter which version you choose to believe, well-wishes are always appreciated. Be sure to tell them, “Break a leg!”

Do you believe in risk? Do you believe in luck?

I do believe in synchronicity.

Is “Luck” something that happens to you?
Is synchronicity something that begins in your consciousness?

Is risk something you undertake?
Is luck passive?
Can you trigger synchronicity?

Can you trigger it through risk, courage, and willingness?

Goethe– statesman, scholar, risk-taker– told us, “Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness.” He was not kidding.

Can you trigger synchro destiny through preparedness, focus, and joy?

Do you want synchronicity? Do you want to fulfill your destiny? Because you can.

Concerning all acts of initiative or creation, there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too.

Cameron, Murray, and Goethe are making us a promise here: “Leap, and [then] the net will appear.”

Do you really like it the other way around?
Do you unconsciously ask, “Show me the net and then I’ll leap?”

Do you say, “Give me the job, the date, the deal, and then I’ll commit?”
Do you avoid commitment and risk? 

Why do you do that? 
Do you do that to avoid being criticized?

In order to risk, you have to be willing to look bad. You have to be willing to be daring!  You have to be willing to be seen. 

And as Brene Brown puts it, “Painfully seen!”

Be in the Arena, making what is yours to make into this world! And you do not have to do it alone!

Elements are matter that cannot be broken down into simpler substances. On the periodic table, each element is distinguished by its atomic number, which describes the number of protons in the nuclei of its atoms.


Your subconscious mind is 1 million times more powerful.

Your conscious mind is slow at processing. 

That is why when you are in an emergency or stress you operate from the subconscious mind one because it can operate fast and handle lots of data.

The difference between the two is that the subconscious mind is habitual.

And It is the conscious mind that is creative.

With the conscious mind you can control anything in your entire body!

When I went to medical school, US textbooks said, “there were parts of our body that are involuntary.”  In Indian medical text, “all aspects of your Body’s control you can control”.

We learned that Yogi’s can regulate their heartbeat, blood pressure, and body temperature with their conscious mind-body-spirit connection!

You move your own energy with your own Mind, Body and Soul!

So while the conscious mind can only handle a few things.

The subconscious mind can do many many thousands of tasks at the same time.

Neuroscientists are talking about how your unconscious really shapes your life your decisions.

What this means is maybe you were the child at dinner and your parents said you do not deserve. 95 percent of the day you will sabotage your life to make sure you do not deserve. 

And so therefore if you have negative programming

95% of the day you will create that negative experience in your life now

Here’s the problem the conscious mind and the subconscious mind work together

So whatever the conscious mind focuses on it could control but what it’s not focusing on the subconscious mind controls. Creativity takes places equally in the conscious and subconscious mind, and while popular definitions often emphasize intuition over rationality, you won’t have breakthroughs without both.

So most of your day you are thinking about the future or thinking about the past. That’s what the conscious mind does.

So if the conscious Minds not paying attention to right now

Then everything you’re doing during the day is being run by the program that you got

Yet the problem is because your mind is not the conscious Minds. It is not paying attention or it does not “see” the program being played by the subconscious mind.
