“From the songs of our praise shall we dissolve the barriers of weakness.”

“To kneel, to pray, and to give praise is the first freedom of the soul.”

“Gratitude is like diamonds and jewels ignited by thousands of stars. The angels use your gratitude to widen the portals of your consciousness.”

“All persons having the inward and unceasing praise and gratitude to God manifest a powerful life-force in harmony with the Laws of the Universal.”

“There are those who go out of this life with a grunt, and those who go out of this life with a song of praise.”

“To be thankful for the smallest things is to build a healthy emotional body and a flexible mental attitude.”

Angel names find their roots within ancient cultures, such as Babylon, Assyria, and Egypt, as well as within Jewish, Christian and Muslim lore.

Over thousands of years, angel names have evolved in spelling, meaning and use within religions, mysticism and magic.

When the name of an angel is thought important in order to invoke angelic help.

Many of the angel names include a suffix word meaning, “of God” (-el), or yah, which means, “Lord.” This way, angel names portray the importance of the angel’s connection with the divine. Angel names are, thus, traditionally viewed as being powerful. Most angel names will have the “el” incorporated; most fallen angel names will not.

Angel names used most frequently and best known are Gabriel, Raphael, Uriel, and Ariel.

Dignity | How to Create It and How to Have More Positive Thoughts!

November 19, 2020 by Dr. Sarah Larsen Leave a Comment

An old man meets a young man who asks: “Do you remember me?”

And the old man says no.

Then the young man tells him he was his student, And the teacher asks:

“What do you do, what do you do in life?

”The young man answers:

“Well, I became a teacher.”

“ah, how good, like me?”

Asks the old man.

“Well, yes. In fact, I became a teacher because you inspired me to be like you.”

The old man, curious, asks the young man at what time he decided to become a teacher.

And the young man tells him the following story:

“One day, a friend of mine, also a student, came in with a nice new watch, and I decided I wanted it and I stole it, I took it out of his pocket.

Shortly after, my friend noticed the flight and immediately complained
to our teacher, who was you.

Then you went to the class:‘This student’s watch was stolen during classes today.

Whoever stole it, please return it.’I didn’t give it back because I didn’t want to.

Then you closed the door and told us all to get up and you were going to search our pockets one by one until the watch was found.

But you told us to close our eyes because you would only look for his watch if we all had our eyes closed.

So we did, and you went from pocket to pocket, and when you went through my pocket, you found the watch and took it.

You kept searching everyone’s pockets, and when you were done you said
‘ open your eyes. We have the watch.’

You didn’t tell me and you never mentioned the episode. You never said who stole the watch either. That day you saved my dignity forever.

It was the most shameful day of my life.

But this is also the day my dignity was saved and I decided not to become a thief, a bad person, etc. You never said anything, nor even scold me or took me aside to give me a moral lesson, I received your message clearly.

And thanks to you, I understood what a real educator needs to do. Do you remember this episode, professor?

And the professor answers: ‘I remember the situation, the stolen watch, which I was looking for in everyone’s pocket, but I didn’t remember you, because I also closed my eyes while looking.’

This is the essence of teaching:

If to correct you must humiliate; you don’t know how to teach “

I have an uncontrolled type two Diabetic state | I cannot live like this anymore, what can I do to move me closer to healing? Wholeness? Health?

It is true, you cannot live happy or healthy with type 2 diabetes for a long period of time. What scares most people are the long term survival rates with painful conditions requiring family help!

You Can begin with your tongue to begin a new relationship with your body!

The Taste Map of the Tongue You Learned in School Is All Wrong

  • Sweet
  • Sour
  • Salty
  • Pungent
  • Bitter
  • Astringent

Each of these tastes has specific functions in your physiology, either for energy (macronutrients) or healthy information (micronutrients), so it is important to try to get each taste in every meal, or in a day while favoring the tastes that are better for your current dosha imbalance and reducing the ones that will get you more out of balance.

These taste category of pungent, as it is underutilized in many diets, yet is very important for optimizing and supporting the digestion of food. Some simple tips for those with uncontrolled type 2 Diabetes!

Modern biology shows that taste receptors aren’t nearly as simple as that cordoned-off model would lead you to believe

What can I do to move me closer to healing?

  • Cook some seeds, such as cumin or mustard seed, in a little bit of oil before cooking your veggies.
  • Add the ground spices into food to make it more flavorful and healthier.
  • Use herbs such as oregano, rosemary, and parsley, which also support the natural detoxification pathways.

What can I do to move me closer to Wholeness?

In the book, You Can Heal Your Life, Louise Hay says that diabetes is caused by not realizing the sweetness in life, which you can take to mean as not living in the moment, or by complaining and therefore, not praising what good things ARE abundantly available.

So, here are some things to remind yourself if you would like to heal from either type of diabetes, remembering that you must EXPECT IT, DESIRE IT, AND BELIEVE THAT IT WILL HAPPEN.

If you have limiting beliefs in any of these three topics, you will not achieve your goal. But, if you really expect to heal, you desire it greatly, and then also believe that it will happen (as it has for so many of BOTH types) then it will–as long as you don’t offer a lot of resistance around healing.

Everything is energy! To help your Energy ~ Practice Feeling in the moment!

Say out loud:

“I am happy with where I am at, and I am choosing healthier thoughts and feelings every day.  I am on a really interesting journey, learning about myself, my body, and how my thoughts and feelings create my physical reality.  I know that I am connected to my higher power, and I can easily access the most loving and appreciative thoughts.  I continue to grow each day into the person I wish to be…”

FEEL HAPPY! ~Listen to Music, Be in the Moment! Grow your ability to feel Happiness! Call your best friend! Take action to lean into happiness!

In the Mirror look into your left eye and Say:

“Every day, I love finding lots of things I appreciate and love about myself, and I’m going to spend some time just thinking about those things now…(do this on your own but keep it general)…I love how I’ve overcome lots of obstacles only to find success, I appreciate how good I feel outside and in nature.  I so enjoy looking at the trees and flowers, and seeing animals.  They always make me feel so good.  I love the smell of the ocean, the smell of forests, the feeling of sitting under a tree on a warm day, and the crisp autumn air.  I love knowing that my appreciation helps me feel good, but also helps anyone who notices it as well.”

Imagine and Angel or a beloved one listen to you as you say:

“I know that my current physical conditions (whatever they may be) are temporary and that feeling better and thinking better comes easily to me.

My life force is strong, and flows easily, just like breathing air, in and out.

Meditate on and Feel:

Just like drinking pure water, I am filled with the divine presence, I know the feeling of the divine because whenever I feel appreciative, I am on the highest vibration, the one of love.  The more I love and appreciate myself and others, I am there!  I am ready to allow more good into my life.  I am ready to consistently and happily allow fun, freedom, and joy into my experience.”

What can I do to move me closer to Health?

Each Cause for any Illness is unique. Your reason and your process for healing is also unique!

    4. I generate true freedom because I own my choices!

Whether the White Rhino appears in dreams, visions, waking life or synchronicities, it is a sign and message that you are in some way affecting those around you or those that come to you, some come with gratitude and there are some who feel threatened by you. You are a loving and caring being, and it is time to call in the courage of the Rhino to help you with any feedback you may be receiving at this time. You may not need a “thicker skin” but you need to call in the strength of the Rhino. The White Rhino will also help you purify areas and emotions that appear weak or sensitive in any way right now. If you are an empath, it is okay, you will begin to learn to swim and fly high, as opposed to feeling victimized. Invoke this spirit animal. It symbolizes strength, rigor, courage, tenacity, confidence, and a gentle spirit. You are capable of being mentally and emotionally tough, yet gentle. And it’s message is that you’re more than ready for the world and what it entails.

If this is not you, then it is time to get clear to rejoin your tribe or the rest of the world of infinite beings. It’s time to bring your light to the forefront. However, if you aren’t able to invoke, heal or otherwise on your own, call on Thursday:

In groups, we are awakening the LOVE!

How do you label with words the “Great Mystery force/power in everything?”

Some label it, “The Universe” some label it “God”!

However you label it, it gives you opportunities!

BEING A DOCTOR

The secret of the care of the patient is in caring for the patient.— Francis Weld Peabody, MD, 1881–1927, American physician

At a difficult turn in my life about 15 years ago, Henry Seidel agreed to meet me for coffee at a shopping mall. It was a couple of days after Christmas, and I wanted to talk with him about my decision to stop practicing clinical medicine. After listening carefully, he said only this, “Bob, I will tell you what my mother told me when I faced a similar decision. ‘Henry, you will always be a doctor. Being a doctor is about what is in your heart and not what is in your little black bag.’” Indeed, Henry’s mother was right. I have probably healed as many people outside the formal practice of medicine as I have within it.

Many things got in the way of answering my call to be a healer. One of the things that got in the way was the medical profession itself. During my psychiatry rotation, late in my second year of medical school, I was approached by my attending physician. He asked me if I had considered a career in psychiatry. I recall this moment rather vividly. I told him that I had considered psychiatry but had decided against it. I told him that during the psychiatry rotation I had learned that relationships are what heal people, and I did not think I could maintain that many relationships.

This was an example of what Henry had mentioned, “What a student said was not necessarily what the student thought.” Looking back, I suspect what I thought was that psychiatry was using pills more than relationships to heal people and that the field would not fully support my desire to heal people through relationships. This period, in the mid-1980s, marked the beginning of a strong movement toward biological psychiatry, and many on the Hopkins faculty strongly supported that movement. What we know now about psychiatry is what we know about nearly every field in medicine—that medications and procedures are rarely sufficient to heal suffering; sometimes they are not even necessary. However, what is almost always necessary to heal people is to enter into a relationship with them.

By saying that relationships heal, I am not making a romantic call to a bygone era and urging a move away from the scientific evidence that has helped make the practice of modern medicine credible, ethical, and socially valued. In fact, you are entering medicine at a time when there is new scientific evidence to support the part of medical practice that was often called an art. Science has permitted us to reclaim what medicine has mistakenly forsaken and what I was once afraid to embrace—the healing power of relationships.

For example, the new field of interpersonal neurobiology has explained how relationships matter for healing. Because of advances in neuroscience and epigenetics, we have broken down some constraints in our thinking about the distinctions between mind and body and between nature and nurture. Therefore, we now understand how our biography, especially our relationships, becomes our biology.2 Today it is safer in our profession to give voice to the fact that relationships matter for healing, and it is okay to practice medicine as if our relationships with patients mattered. That is great news, because relationships are the part of your practice you will likely find most gratifying and sustainable.

LINGERING, LISTENING, AND LOVING

So, how will listening to your authentic call as a healer make a difference? How will you enter into relationships with patients in a way that is effective and sustainable? In closing, I will give you three interrelated practices to consider: lingering, listening, and loving.

First, there is lingering. Slow your physical and mental pace as much as possible. It is what Henry Seidel called approaching problems with a “deliberate speed”—work as fast as necessary, but no faster. At times, we think we must solve every problem immediately. We no longer use time to either heal or diagnose. We succumb easily to the trap of viewing our effectiveness and self-worth in medicine through the metric of speed. This trap makes us avoid a moment of silence in an encounter with a patient, even when that silence can be healing. It prevents us from taking time to reflect on questions like, “I wonder what is going on with this patient?” These reflective and humble “wondering” questions are often the ones that lead to the correct diagnosis or therapy, including the possibility of doing nothing else but more waiting, watching, and wondering.

Lingering allows one to be mindful rather than mindless. To be mindful is to achieve a deep awareness that arises from paying attention to what is happening in the moment, to our sensations, thoughts, and feelings. This awareness comes from noticing things in us and in others and not judging them harshly. Lingering can allow us to feel what is going on in an encounter with another person—what the patient is feeling and how we are feeling. That sense you convey to your patients that you understand what they are feeling or experiencing changes their brains, and this is part of how relationships heal. This conveyed understanding places the person in a physiologically safe state. In that state, the biologic and behavioral process of integration, restoration, growth, and positive adaption occur.

Next, there is listening. People are healed by the process of telling their stories and feeling heard. Indeed this is the very process by which people feel worthy and included, and much chronic illness arises simply because people feel persistently unworthy or excluded. Train your mind to hear every detail of people’s stories, and always wonder what has been left out and why. Never judge people’s stories as incoherent. The less coherent a person seems, the more likely it is that person needs your help. Everyone who has experienced significant suffering from pain and worry has trouble making coherent narratives. Ask every patient you see some open-ended questions: “What brings you here today?” or “What happened to you?” And never forget that the most powerful and underutilized utterance in medical practice is this: “Tell me more about that.” Do all you can to keep eye contact with your patients. The eyes are the window to the mind. How you cast your eyes upon another can change the mind of that person, and the mind can heal the body.

Finally, there is loving. What relationship is therapeutic if it does not involve positive emotion, and what is a relationship with positive emotion if it is not some form of what we call love? Love is essential to our health and to healing. Indeed, our profession has harmed itself, in my opinion, by its prescription for objectivity and emotional distance from our patients. Current scientific evidence suggests that emotional distance is bad for patients and physicians alike. This dated prescription of emotional distance has left us trying to heal patients by using only what is in our black bags and not what is in our hearts. It has left us feeling empathic towards the suffering of others but limited in our responses of compassion—our helping actions. There must be something more to use than scalpel, pill, laser, or patch. Care of the dying, if nothing else, calls for more.

Cutting-edge and science-informed practice in 2015 has us working well beyond the old boundaries of our profession that limited our emotional involvement with patients. There is no healing relationship without empathy, and empathy involves the emotion centers of the brain. When we are empathic to the suffering of another, the areas of our brain that are active are similar to the areas of the brain that are active in the person who is suffering. Indeed, empathy is painful, and too much empathy can lead to burnout, unless that empathy is accompanied by a compassionate response. Compassion is experienced in the brain where we experience love—romantic love and parent-child love—with all its elevating emotions. Compassion is a helping action in relation to another. It feels good to the healer and the healed. Compassion may be what sustains us through our empathy, because it is the proper and adaptive response to the pain we can experience during empathy.

The powerful tools of modern biomedical therapeutics, which you have learned in medical school, are tools of compassion. Immunizations and opiates alleviate suffering. But your time in medical school also permitted you to develop some tools of compassion that you had when you arrived here. These are relationship tools, like encouraging, touching, listening, and being silent and fully present. These are also acts of love. They are acts of patience, tenderness, and kindness. That is how they are received, and this is why they heal people.

FOR YOURSELF

I will end today by giving all five of you a compassionate prescription. It contains the three Ls—linger with yourself, listen to yourself, and love yourself. Parents and friends, please remind these graduates of the prescription. Help them use it.

First, linger with yourself. Your medical degree is a portal to many careers. You may well be blessed with a long work life that has distinct epochs that seem like separate careers. You do not need to accomplish everything in one career. Over time and with patient, deliberate, and reflective lingering, the proper next career will reveal itself.

Never forget to listen to yourself. If your work and your relationships are not feeling right, you probably need to change something. Pain and suffering are part of our experience as healers. It is not just the experience of our patients. Listen to your pain and suffering and never be afraid to seek care for yourself. That care might be as simple as a walk in the woods, sleeping late one day, or playing your musical instrument.

Finally, love yourself. This is a call to the practice of self-compassion, and this practice will yield several important freedoms. Self-compassion allows you to say no and to set limits on your caregiving without feeling guilty. This ability frees you from the perilous trap of always feeling the need to be needed by others. Self-compassion allows you to live peacefully with your mistakes and to learn from them. It keeps you from fretting about your ignorance and limitations. Freedom from that worry will keep you open-minded and wanting every day to learn and grow. Finally, self-compassion will keep you from denying what you don’t understand. Freedom from this denial allows you to enter a place of humble and joyous wonder about the deep mystery of healing and the privilege of participating in that mystery.

The Secret

The good physician knows his patients through and through, and his knowledge is bought dearly. Time, sympathy and understanding must be lavishly dispensed, but the reward is to be found in the personal bond which forms the greatest satisfaction of the practice of medicine. One of the essential qualities of the clinician is interest in humanity, for the secret of the care of the patient is in caring for the patient.— Francis Weld Peabody, MD, 1881–1927, American physician

How do we become an ideal society? What is humanity’s end game?

Thank you Jake Bradshaw for the photo on Linkedin

This is a story of these two men and an answer to the question, “How do we become an ideal society?”

What would you do if you saw the man Delonte, on the left? He was seen panhandling at a gas station in the Dallas area.

The man on the right, Mark, knew him before he was struggling! Mark got in his car and searched him out. He didn’t send for someone to go get Delonte. Mark went himself.

Mark wanted to be certain that the homeless man got in the car; He wanted to make sure this struggling man would accept treatment – so he went to make the pitch himself.

Delonte West, a former NBA player that fell on hard times; struggling with bipolar disorder and substance abuse had earned around $16 million dollars during his playing career.

Delonte WAS homeless. He was homeless until Mark cared about Delonte’s plight. Delonte West, in fact, did get into Cuban’s car and is on his way to recovering his life.

Mark Cuban made a miracle happen!

He demonstrates ~

1. Actions speak

2. When it is important enough, you make it personal

Mark could have sent someone else, he could have hired a team. His personal touch makes him a Miracle Maker to Delonte West and his family! He made it personal by showing up personally!

Delonte Maurice West is an American former professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association for the Boston Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Dallas Mavericks.

Mark Cuban is an American entrepreneur, television personality, media proprietor, and investor, whose net worth is an estimated $4.3 billion, according to Forbes and ranked #179 on the 2019 Forbes 400 list. Mark Cuban is a named inventor of 11 patent families and 23 distinct patent publications for his inventions.

What is humanity’s end game?
The end game depends on how you see Humanity!

Aristotle was a Greek philosopher and polymath during the Classical period in Ancient Greece. Taught by Plato, he was the founder of the Lyceum, the Peripatetic school of philosophy, and the Aristotelian tradition. The Lyceum was a school of unprecedented organized scientific inquiry and, In a sense, the first major centre to put forward the modern scientific method. It was from here, too, that Aristotle wrote extensively on a wide range of subjects including politics, metaphysics, ethics and logic.

How Aristotle may have answered this question:

Aristotle considers the various organs of human beings, and each seems to have a purpose. For example, the purpose of the eye is to see and of the ear to hear, the feet and legs are for the sake of motion, the hands for grasping, etc.

Just like every human appendage and organ has a purpose so too does each human.

The eye is good if it performs its function well, and so on for the ear and the legs, etc. Likewise, say, a medical doctor is a good doctor if he is able to heal–and do no harm; the horseman is a good horseman if he or she can ride well, and so on.

Anything and anyone who can perform its stated function well is said to have “virtue.”

Even a paintbrush has “virtue,” if it can transfer paint well.

So, in Aristotelian terms, knowing the purpose (the telos) of mankind is the answer to “What is humanity’s end game?”

To know what the human virtues are (sometimes the Greek word is translated as “excellence”), and this is a very large part of the aim of Aristotle’s Ethics: to tell us what counts as human virtue and what is good for mankind.

Knowing what to count as human virtue pretty much fills the detailed account of human purpose.

Human beings, according to Aristotle are “rational animals,” and human beings are also social animals.

So, Mark Cuban one way to look at the question of the purpose of human beings is to see what they are best suited to do; this involves a rational regulation of life and society suited to express the best, highest and distinctive elements of human nature. He knew he had to “pitch” Delonte West to make sure he was homeless no more!

In this way, the question of the purpose or telos of mankind is very closely connected with our account of human nature.

Your human nature knows what feels miraculous to you!

Telos means an ultimate object or aim… so you are a miracle by birth! And when connected in your humanity is to be miraculous to each other.

It makes it easier to create a utopian society around you! Utopian societies are often characterized by benevolent governments that ensure the safety and general welfare of its citizens. Society and its institutions treat all citizens equally and with dignity, and citizens live in safety without fear.
